Dating Protocols for ARC 15b Issues

How to ensure that you add the correct Issue and Expiry dates to new ARCs

Is the Airworthiness Review and Survey being performed within 90 days of ARC expiry?

Date of Issue - The date on which the new ARC is issued

Date of Expiry - One year from the Date of Expiry of the current ARC

Date of Issue - The date on which the new ARC is issued

Date of Expiry - One year from the date of the Airworthiness Review or Recommendation as applicable

Please Note:

Where the anticipated period is within 90 days, both the Airworthiness Review and the Survey must be carried out within the 90 day anticipation period.

Where the anticipated period is greater than 90 days, both the Airworthiness Review and the Survey must be carried out within the 90 days of Recommendation or Issue as applicable.

Expired ARCs

If the ARC has already expired then a new ARC must be issued. This can be done either by Recommendation to the CAA for the Issue of an ARC (Form 15a) or, if you have Part M Subpart G Approval with ARC privileges (Additional Subpart I approval) then you may issue a new ARC directly (Form 15b).

When the previous ARC has expired, the new ARC expiration date is one year from the date of the Airworthiness Review.
