AIP for VHF Aeronautical Ground Stations
Following an extensive consultation process, a new fees structure for VHF aeronautical ground station licences has been determined by Ofcom. Additionally Ofcom has decided to rename these licences to reflect ICAO service types.
Information on fees
For detailed information go to the Aeronautical Spectrum Pricing and Bespoke Pricing for Aeronautical VHF Frequencies pages on the Ofcom website where you will find fee proposals and subsequent statements and an illustrative model in order to derive a bespoke fee. Please see statement for current licence charges in the Notice of proposals to make the Wireless Telegraphy (Licence Charges) (Amendment) Regulations 2013.
Fees Regulations
Ofcom is in the final stages of amending the Wireless Telegraphy (Licence Charges) Regulations which provide the legal framework for applying the new fees. The draft regulations can be found here where Ofcom also expect to publish a final statement in April 2012.
