FAQ Answer

FAQ Answer

What legislation applies to low flying, including Military aircraft?

. All civil aircraft fly subject to the legislation of the Air Navigation Order (ANO) and the Rules of the Air (RoA) Regulations. These are published in Civil Aviation Publication (CAP) 393: Air Navigation: The Order and The Regulations . Section 3 of the RoA regulations details the low flying prohibitions.

Given the very nature of the operations that they are required to conduct, Military aircraft are not bound by these regulations.
