FAQ Answer

How is the UK CAA involved in the proposed changes?

The UK CAA participated in each of the three EASA Rulemaking Groups responsible for drafting the new regulations in an attempt to ensure they are clear, unambiguous and maintain the current high safety standards achieved by aerodromes in the UK. In support of the above, a member of Aerodrome Policy and Standards was seconded to EASA until February 2013 to help with the rulemaking process.
The CAA is developing its plan to manage the transition of aerodromes in the EASA scope to the new rules.
