Index of some of the medical conditions which may affect Pilot and ATCO licences
Heart disease:
- Atrial fibrillation (abnormality of heart rhythm)
- Bundle Branch Block (Left and Right – abnormalities of heart conduction pathway)
- Cardiomyopathy (thickening of the heart muscle)
- Coronary artery disease (includes heart attacks, heart surgery and angioplasty/stenting procedures)
- Ectopy (disturbance of the cardiac rhythm)
- Hypertension (high blood pressure)
- Pacemaker (providing an artificial heart beat)
- Tachycardias (including Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome) and ablation treatment (Rapid heart rhythms and their treatment by electrical current therapy)
- Heart Valve Disease (narrowing and leaking through the aortic and mitral heart valves)
Kidney disease:
- Stones in the urinary tract (stones which may impact in the kidney, ureter or bladder)
Respiratory disease:
Visual disorders:
Monocularity/substandard vision in one eye
