I think I have a long-term condition that is outside the European Class 3 requirements; can I continue to work as an ATCO?

If you have previously been assessed as fit for a UK Class 1 medical certificate for ATCO duties with a medical condition, and your condition has not deteriorated, then you will be able to obtain a European Class 3 medical certificate under the grandfather rights clause. An IGR limitation will be added to your certificate indicating that it has been issued under grandfather rights for a specific medical condition that meets UK Class 1 Medical Requirements.
