The UK CAA has participated in each of the three EASA Rulemaking Groups responsible for drafting the new regulations in an attempt to ensure they are clear, unambiguous and maintain the current high safety standards achieved by aerodromes in the UK. In support of the above, a member of Aerodrome Policy and Standards has been seconded to EASA until December 2012 to help with the rulemaking process. We are also working with other key stakeholders to ensure that UK aerodromes are not disadvantaged by the new regulations in any way.
The CAA is developing its plan to manage the transition of aerodromes in the EASA scope to the new rules.
