Our role in the licensing of airports and aerodromes

Flights for the public transport of passengers, or specified flights for the purpose of flying instruction, need to take place from an appropriately licensed airport.

Operators of aerodromes and airports are required to maintain high standards in a competitive environment, providing services to airlines and passengers.

How to Transition from an Aerodrome Licence to an EASA Certificate

The transition process will take place between June 2014 and December 2017.  The CAA has scheduled a period of time in which to assess the required transition documents submitted by each aerodrome.
