EEA definition

EEA

The EEA States consist of the members of the EU (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, The Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and the UK) together with Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway. Switzerland is also included within the definition of EEA for the purposes of the single aviation market.  Whilst the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man are part of the UK, they are not part of the EU and operators registered there are subject to different licensing legislation.
