Flight Information Service Officer Examinations

Information on examinations for FISO licences

The written examinations in ‘Navigation and Meteorology’ and ‘Law and Procedures’ last one hour each. The pass mark is 70%.

Applications to undertake the written examinations should be made on form SRG 1414 Flight Information Service Officer’s Licence Application. The closing date for applications is 15 clear  working days before the date of the examination.

FISO Examination Scheduling Information:

10 January 2014 (Friday) - closing date 11 December 2013
11 April 2014 (Friday) - closing date 20 March 2014
11 July 2014 (Friday) - closing date 19 June 2014
10 October 2014 (Friday) - closing date 18 September 2014

Please Note:

  • If you are sitting both the Law & Procedures and the Meteorology & Navigation papers, you will be presented with one paper at a time.
  • All candidates are required to be at the venue and available to be called through for the  examination session, no later than  20  minutes prior to the start time.
