Information for Owners/Operators

Information for Aircraft Owners and Operators

All EASA aircraft registered in the UK and operating on an EASA Certificate of Airworthiness (CofA) are issued with a non-expiring CofA supported by an Airworthiness Review Certificate (ARC).

ARCs are valid for 12 months. Before your ARC expires, you need to ensure that a new ARC is issued or if the appropriate requirements are met that the current ARC is extended in order to allow flight to continue legally.

Please Note:

An aircraft must have remained in a Controlled Environment under Part M before an ARC may be extended. (The aircraft has remained under the management of a unique CAMO and has been maintained by a suitably approved maintenance organisation for 12 months preceding ARC expiry).

Large Aircraft Not Used for Commercial Air Transport (Over 5700 kg)

If your aircraft has a MTWA of 5700 kg or more or is a multi-engined helicopter, you must do the following in order to ensure flights may continue legally.

  • Ensure that your aircraft is maintained in accordance with a Maintenance Programme complying with M.A.302 and M.B.301.
