Guidance for applicants
The licence entitles you to exercise certification privileges on a specific aircraft type.
You must hold an EASA Part 66 Aircraft Maintenance Licence.
You must ensure that the relevant theoretical and practical type training has been conducted within an approved 147 organisation.
If Part-147 Theoretical & Practical Type Course has been conducted, and is a 2nd type rating of the same or similar manufacturer then no detailed maintenance experience records and No OJT/logbook or worksheet experience is necessary.
However if a Part-147 Theoretical & Practical Type Course is conducted and it is the 1st type rating you will be required to provide practical maintenance experience on the aircraft type, which has been conducted within a Part 145 maintenance organisation. As a guide 4 months is considered acceptable.
The 147 Certificate of Recognition(s) are valid for 3 years from the Date the course commenced.
The cost for each Type rating is £131.00.
There will also be a rolling renewal fee applicable that will need to be calculated.
An additional fee will be payable if you wish your documents to be returned by secure courier.
We will endeavour to process applications within 10 working days.
The licence is valid for 5 years from the issue date.
You must ensure that copies of all documents are certified as true copies by your Quality manager or the most senior person within the organisation.
