Application and guidance information associated with Minimum Navigation Performance Specification (MNPS)
The North Atlantic (NAT) is the busiest of all oceanic airspace; direct pilot-controller communication is limited and radar surveillance is generally unavailable. Flight within NAT MNPS airspace is only available with the required approval.
The exact dimensions of the MNPS airspace are stated within the Air Navigation (General) Regulations, Part 6.
The ICAO North Atlantic MNPS Operation Manual provides the best source of guidance and information for those planning operations in NAT MNPS airspace.
