Consultation on the CAA Strategic Plan 2011 - 2016

The CAA is seeking your views on its Five-Year Strategic Plan.

Following a Strategic Review undertaken in 2009 and early 2010, the CAA has been developing its Five Year Strategic Plan. The Plan sets out our strategic objectives and how we expect to achieve them, as well as the outcomes we expect our activities to deliver for consumers and the wider public. It also highlights our increasing focus on identifying the key risks facing consumers and our commitment to ensuring that our and industry’s energies are devoted to addressing these.

Last autumn, we held informal stakeholder engagement sessions to help inform the drafting of the plan. We believe we have developed a five-year plan that will move aviation regulation in the UK forward, ensuring that we deliver effective, proportionate and good value regulation in the long term, aimed at achieving carefully targeted outcomes. Now we would like your views on the CAA Strategic Plan 2011 to 2016.

We have included specific questions in each chapter that we would ask you to consider in addition to any general comments you may like to make. Please respond to by Monday 7 March.
