To enter a mortgage onto the UK Register of Aircraft Mortgages please complete the form CA1577 Entry of Aircraft Mortgage form. This form can be completed online but must be printed, signed by or on behalf of the mortgagee and then submitted to the Aircraft Registration Section.
Once printed and signed all documentation can be submitted as a scanned document via email to email@example.com .If all the relevant information has been submitted as scanned documents there is no requirement to send in hard copy originals.
The form should be accompanied by a certified copy of the mortgage deed and the appropriate fee, see Forms and Fees. If you are submitting the certified copy as a scanned document please ensure that the copy of the mortgage is certified before it is scanned. When you submit the scanned version please confirm in the text of the email that the accompanying mortgage is a true copy.
Entry forms submitted by email must be accompanied by debit or credit card payment using form CA02. Again, this form can be completed online but it must be printed and signed before scanning and emailing. If we do not receive the fee with the application then we will be unable to process it.
The Entry form is the document which is recorded within the UK Register of Aircraft Mortgages and therefore should reflect exactly the same details as described within the mortgage deed. In particular, the description of the aircraft and engines, the sum secured and the full names and addresses of the mortgagor and mortgagee should replicate what is stated on the deed. If the sum secured referred to on the entry form is not present in the deed but is present in the associated loan agreement, then a copy of the relevant part of the loan agreement should also be supplied. If the sum secured is "all monies" this can be quoted as such on the entry form.
As the order of priority of entries in the UK Register of Aircraft Mortgages is determined by the date and time of receipt by the CAA applications can be made in person between 10:00 - 16:00 hrs at the Aircraft Registration Section.

We ask for this information as it has become apparent that delays are occurring in the re-registration and de-registration of aircraft as we are unable to readily contact parties to either discharge mortgages, or obtain consent for re-registration or de-registration of mortgaged aircraft. The problem arises as over time agents (usually firms of solicitors) change, aircraft portfolios are transferred between companies and companies are either absorbed into or sold to other companies, and the Aircraft Registration Section is not informed of these developments.
Once a mortgage entry is entered on the UK Register of Aircraft Mortgages, Aircraft Registration will inform all parties concerned with the mortgage in writing in accordance with our Service standards.
