Custom Flights has ceased trading with effect from 24 November 2009.
The CAA is only able to consider claims for a maximum of the amount that passengers paid to their travel agent for flights that Custom Flights were contracted to provide.
As the name suggests Custom Flights only sold flights. If you booked other arrangements (accommodation, transfers, etc), either at the same time as booking your flight with the same travel agent, or independently with any other firm we will not be able to consider a claim in respect of these arrangements.
We will however need to be aware of all arrangements that you have booked through the same travel agent at the same time as booking the flight. Therefore in order to ensure that claims are processed as quickly as possible, it is important to note the following:
Section 5 of the claim form must detail all payments made to your travel agent, including those relating to other arrangements. You must provide all documentation (including e-mail confirmations) issued for all of the arrangements booked and provide the appropriate evidence of all payments that you made to your travel agent. The covering letter provided with the claim form includes a checklist of information that is required.
As part of the claims process we must be satisfied that for bookings made through travel agents, the travel agent has passed across all customer payments due to Custom Flights. Your travel agent will therefore have to complete certain sections of the claim form and provide additional supporting information.
If you have any queries regarding the other arrangements you have booked, contact your travel agent/supplier.
To contact us regarding a Custom Flights Claim e-mail: customflightsclaims@caa.co.uk
Please read the attached document about making a claim. Passengers should not approach their card issuers for refunds
