How to access information held by the CAA
Identifying the information you require
The Civil Aviation Authority is an open organisation which endeavours to make available as much information as possible.
The CAA has adopted the Model Publication Scheme set down by the Information Commissioner's Office and, in addition, the CAA Guide to Information provides a summary of the information which is available from the CAA about its statutory responsibilities, structure and functions, and advice as to how that information can be obtained.
CAA publications and forms are made freely available in the Publications section of our website.
Your legal right of access to information is covered by the Freedom of Information Act 2000, the Environmental Information Regulations 2004 or, in the case of personal information, the Data Protection Act 1998.
Before making a request for information under one of these access regimes please check if the information you require is already available through the CAA’s website.
