Flight Information Service Officer Manual

CAP 797, the Flight Information Service Officer Manual, is a manual of air traffic services for use by flight information service officers and contains procedures, instructions and information pertaining to both aerodrome and area operations; it may also be of general interest to others associated with civil aviation.

Edition 4 Amendment 1 becomes effective on 24 March 2022.

Supplementary Instructions (SIs) to CAP 797 are periodically issued ahead of routine amendments to introduce an entirely new subject, a radical change to existing instructions or to re-emphasise an existing instruction. CAP 797 should be read in conjunction with these Supplementary Instructions.
