The Department for Transport has approved new security arrangements at a number of airports in the UK. From 7 January 2008 the restriction limiting hand baggage to one item per person will no longer apply at
these airports
. Remember that this does not mean that all airlines using these airports will allow more than one item of hand baggage per person - airlines have their own policies on how many items of baggage can be taken into the cabin on their aircraft. We therefore recommend you check with your airline to find out cabin baggage arrangements for your particular journey.
