Title:Reaction to Aircraft Noise Near General Aviation Airfields
Description:This report presents the results of a social survey and noise measurement programme around five General Aviation airfields - Coventry, Kidlington, Leavesden, Shoreham and Staverton. Fieldwork for the study was carried out during the summer and early autumn of 1981.
The Noise and Number Index (NNI) is found to show a reasonable correlation with disturbance around the airfields. Reaction above 35 NNI appears stronger than for public transport operations at major airports
