Description:Regulation (EU) No 1178/2011 (the EASA Aircrew Regulation) laying down the European rules for aircrew licensing came into force on 8 April 2012. To enable the authorities of the Member States to manage the transition from JAA and national requirements to the new European Implementing Rules, the EASA Aircrew Regulation includes the option of derogating from defined sections of the rules for specified periods. The UK is making use of these provisions and has notified the European Commission of its intentions. The text of those notifications is published here in ORS4 to inform UK licence holders, training organisations and aircraft operators of those notifications. Update.
