Title:Frequency Monitoring SSR Codes
Description:In order to both prevent and mitigate the consequences of airspace infringements, pilots
operating close to the peripheries of certain controlled airspace (but not requiring an Air Traffic
Service) are strongly encouraged to monitor the relevant ATC frequency. Pilots monitoring
the promulgated ATC frequency should select a local SSR conspicuity code and Mode C
pressure-altitude mode (if available) as specified to indicate they are monitoring the
frequency.

Frequency Monitoring SSR Codes are being introduced for Aircraft operating in the vicinity of
Leeds Bradford International Airport, East Midlands Airport and Farnborough Airport.
