Title:The giving of instruction for remuneration by the holder of a United Kingdom Private Pilot's Licence (Aeroplanes)
Description:The legislation defining the European rules for Flight Crew Licensing, including medical and other requirements, comes into force on 8 April 2012. The legislation is Regulation (EU) No. 1178/2011 - the “EASA Aircrew Regulation”. The PPL(A) issued under the European Part-FCL will permit the holder to receive remuneration for the giving of instruction in flying. Holders of JAR-FCL licences that are deemed to be Part-FCL licences with effect from 8 April 2012 will also be able to receive such remuneration. The Air Navigation Order is to be amended to allow the equivalent privilege for the holder of a PPL(A) issued under UK legislation. This exemption allows UK PPL(A) holders to receive remuneration for aerial work which consists of flying instruction or testing in advance of the amendment of the Order.
