Reference:SN-2011/009 Title:Provision of Surveillance Radar Approaches Description:The provision of Surveillance Radar Approaches (SRAs) is, and will continue to be, a common core requirement of the Approach Control Surveillance (APS) rating course in the UK. However, it is not mandatory for a controller to validate the endorsement at a unit. Moreover, it is not mandatory for SRAs to be provided at an airport and there are many reasons why they may not be available, such as insufficient radar performance or sufficient other approach aids making the provision of SRAs unnecessary. Therefore, additional CAA policy on SRA licensing, training, and currency has been compiled. Status:Current Review Comment:None Version:1 Date:29 July 2011
