Description:The CAA has allowed Microlight Aeroplanes with Maximum Weight, without Pilot and Fuel, of 115 kg to operate unregulated as far as the aircraft certification requirements are concerned. These aeroplanes are however still required to hold a noise certificate per the Air Navigation (Environmental Standards for Non-EASA Aircraft) Order 2008. This Exemption is required to temporarily exempt these aeroplanes from holding a noise certificate before they have been noise tested and issued with their certificates.
