Description:This exemption enables the continued use of Self-Launching Motor Gliders (SLMGs) in circumstances requiring the mandatory carriage of a Mode S Elementary Surveillance capable SSR transponder. In effect, it affords the same status to SLMGs as that applied to all other gliders.
