EASA Private Pilots Licence Helicopter - PPL(H)

Guidance for applicants

Overview


The EASA PPL(H) allows you to fly EASA Helicopters registered in the EU provided that you maintain a valid medical certificate and ratings.

Licence holders can fly on an unpaid basis as a Pilot in Command (PIC) or co-pilot on non-commercial helicopter flights.

Holders with instructor or examiner privileges can be paid for providing instruction for LAPL(H) or PPL(H) licences.

Who can apply


You must be at least 17 years old and have completed an approved PPL(H) training course at an Approved Training Organisation (ATO).
