An Airprox report has been filed involving a Boeing B737 and a hot air balloon. The incident took place near Sittingboune in Kent on 9 August 2012 at 18:09 hours.
The B737 was approaching Gatwick airport and was receiving an air traffic service from London Terminal Control Centre. The incident took place at approximately 11,000 feet.
