An Aircraft Proximity (Airprox) report has been filed involving an Airbus A320 and an Airbus A340. The incident took place 10nm west of the Lambourne Hold on 17 April 2012 at 15:35 hours.
The A320 was en-route to Heathrow and the A340 was en-route to Shanghai, China. Both aircraft were receiving an air traffic service from London Terminal Control Centre. The incident took place at approximately 8,000 feet.
These details are subject to assessment by the independent UK Airprox Board. During 2010, the last year for which full data is available, there were 35 Airprox incidents involving commercial air transport with the absence of any risk bearing incidents.
