An Aircraft Proximity (Airprox) report has been filed involving a Boeing 777 and a Citation business jet. The incident took place near London City Airport on 27 July 2009 at 1540 hours.
The Boeing 777 was inbound to Heathrow Airport and was receiving an air traffic service from the London Terminal Control Centre.
These details are subject to assessment by the independent UK Airprox Board. During 2008, the last year for which full data is available, there were 61 Airprox incidents involving commercial air transport and 95% of these were assessed as having no risk of collision. |
